In 1927, Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Francis commissioned noted architect Paul R. Williams to design their Spanish Revival style home. Sited to take advantage of the view, the home commands a panorama of the San Gabriel Mountains and Valley, the Rose Bowl and Pasadena City Hall. This remained the only house on the street until the end of the Great Depression.
The single level home offers marvelous architectural details including beautiful original tile and hardwood floors, hand stenciled beams, artistic wrought iron, and magnificent living room fireplace and gracious scaled rooms. The home has been updated with sensitivity to the original architectural intent.
